Conduit Health Partners Brings Patient Transfer Center to Watertown Regional Medical Center

Conduit’s team will connect patients to the right care 24/7

Cincinnati, Ohio and Watertown, Wis. (Jan. 16, 2023) — Conduit Health Partners, a health care solutions company that connects patients to the care they need, when they need it, will collaborate with Watertown Regional Medical Center (WRMC) to maximize efficiency and promote ease of access, which supports Watertown’s growth and service expansions.

Conduit Health Partners & Watertown Regional Announce Exciting Collaboration

“We are excited to collaborate with Watertown Regional Medical Center to manage their transfer center services, and we are confident our experienced team, which has managed more than 333,000 patient transfers since our founding in 2017, will help the Watertown team manage its growth,” said Cheryl Dalton-Norman, president of Conduit Health Partners. “Conduit has a proven track record of maximizing care opportunities for health systems and streamlining inbound and outbound transfers and direct admissions. Our transfer center is an easy, seamless way to ensure patients receive the right care quickly, at the location that is most appropriate to their individual needs.”

How the Patient Transfer Center Service Will Work

Conduit’s patient transfer center team will serve as an extension of the Watertown Regional Medical Center’s team and as a single access point to manage patient flow across networks of care, offering the resources and expertise needed for time-saving patient transfers, direct admissions and improved patient outcomes. Conduit is a nurse-driven model that uses data to predict and manage patient volume to avoid delays in the delivery of care. This includes direct admissions, physician-to-physician consultations and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) coordination.

Watertown Regional’s New Patient Transfer Center Improves Access to Care

“Since adding 24/7 STEMI (heart attack) care and launching our eICU technology, we’ve seen an increase in transfers to WRMC from other area hospitals seeking a higher level of care,” said Richard Keddington, CEO, Watertown Regional Medical Center. “Our expanded patient transfer center will make the process of transferring a patient smoother, giving residents of surrounding communities access to improved care and outcomes.”
